Graston Technique®

grastonAs a patented, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization technique, Graston is a manual therapy approach to treating and resolving soft tissue injuries, including repetitive stress conditions.   A small stainless steel instrument is massaged/moved gently over the skin to reduce scar tissue and fascia restrictions, promoting a better healing environment for affected soft tissue.  This usually results in some temporary redness of the treated area due to increased blood flow.  Often this technique is combined with use of heat, ice, stretching and/or strengthening exercises.
